Navigate to the official start page and follow the on-screen instructions. The site will detect your device and guide you through firmware checks and installation if needed.
If the device requires a firmware update, allow it to install via the official interface. Do not install firmware from third-party sources.
Choose Create new wallet when prompted. Trezor will generate a recovery seed (a list of words) on the device screen. Do not type, photograph, or store the seed digitally.
Use the provided recovery card or clean paper to write each word clearly in order. Store the card in a secure, separate location — consider using a fireproof safe or bank deposit box for long-term protection.
The Trezor will ask you to confirm a few words from the recovery seed to ensure it was recorded correctly.
Create a PIN on the device to protect local access. Choose a PIN you can remember but that is not easily guessed. The PIN is entered on the device using randomized number positions — this prevents attackers from learning your PIN by watching screen taps.
After confirmation, your device will be ready to use with the Trezor Suite or compatible wallet apps. Connect the device to manage accounts, send transactions, and interact with decentralized applications.

.If your device is lost or damaged, you can restore your wallet on a new Trezor or compatible device using your recovery seed. Keep the seed safe and secret.
No. Trezor or its official apps will never ask you to type or upload your recovery seed. Any request for your seed is a scam.
A passphrase adds a powerful extra layer of security and can create multiple hidden wallets. However, if you lose the passphrase, recovery is impossible. Use it only if you understand the trade-offs.
